Winter Weather Update

Good evening, church family. I hope you’ve made plans to prepare for a winter wonderland this Sunday! The wind and cold have already hit Wichita, and the forecast calls for a lot of snow on the way.

With that in mind, we have decided to cancel all in-person worship and ministries this weekend (Jan. 23-25, 2026) at Woodland Lakes Community Church. This is a difficult decision that I don’t take likely, but it’s important to stay safe in dangerous conditions. In addition to the several inches of snow in the forecast and unpredictable road conditions, we’re also expecting sub-zero wind chill Sunday morning.

Instead, we invite you to join us online through the church’s YouTube channel for a special, online-only worship service Sunday morning at 10:30. Here’s the link, which will also be shared on our website and Facebook page.

Our chili cook-off, originally scheduled for Sunday evening, will be moved to next Sunday (Feb. 1) at 5 p.m. Thanks for understanding.

May I ask a favor? David Talbert is asking for prayer for a coworker’s wife, Sarah, who is having open heart surgery today. Please keep Sarah in your prayers for healing and for rest and strength in recovery. Thank you!
