Our Team

Nate Boone
Worship Arts Pastor
As worship pastor, I help lead our church in fostering a culture of worship and oversee all tech and creative design elements. I have two main goals: to foster an attitude of worship in all the we do at WLCC, not just on Sundays, but every day of the week; and with our worship team, to set the table for each Sunday morning service through various forms of worship (song, prayer, scripture, visual elements). I enjoy fishing and love anything related to airplanes. My wife, Jessica, and I are foodies, and I love to cook. In my younger years, I played football, baseball, and tennis and also did powerlifting. I am a diehard, lifelong Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves fan.

Billy Byler
Lead Pastor
I was called to serve as lead pastor in August of 2024 after serving the previous six years in Winfield, KS. I have a passion to help others discover the grace and freedom available through Jesus Christ and His Church. God has remained faithful in my life despite tragedy and loss, and I know others can experience the same redemption and healing. I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2005 and enjoyed a seven-year career as a sportswriter in Augusta, GA before answering the call to ministry in 2012. I was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2018. My wife, CJ, is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in private practice at Heritage Family Counseling Services.
We have two beautiful daughters, Hazel and Sage.

Brenda Schwing
Administrative Assistant
I do a little bit of everything! In addition to answering the phones and helping the pastors with whatever they need, I create graphics, manage the calendar, and more. My hope is that I am a help to the pastors and the church as they strive to share the love of God with Wichita. I grew up on a farm outside Sterling, KS and attended Sterling College. I have a double major in Accounting and Business Administration. After graduation, I worked at Via Christi St. Francis (now Ascension) for 9 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I started working at WLCC in 2021. My husband is Aaron, and I have two kids, Caleb and Karissa.
