Midweek Check-in (May 13, 2026)

Good evening, church family!
It’s time to once again pause for a midweek check-in on this beautiful, spring Wednesday.
Sunday morning was a powerful, Spirit-led time for so many reasons. It was Commitment Sunday in which we wrote down the commitments we are making for the mission God has given the people of Woodland Lakes Community Church. And the response was overwhelming!
We’re not sharing total numbers yet (that comes May 31 on Celebration Sunday!). So there is still time to get in on this if you haven’t made a commitment yourself. Our online pledge card is available to fill out at your convenience, or you can bring in your pledge card to the church office this week or on Sunday morning.

I also want to remind you about SpringFest! This Saturday we’re gathering for one reason: to have fun! It’s a perfect time to invite a friend and spend time together with free food, live music, outdoor games, face painting, door prizes and so much more! The weather is going to absolutely perfect, and we want everyone to stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
You know we are a loving, welcoming church family.
I know we are a loving, welcoming church family.
This event is specifically designed for our friends, neighbors, relatives and coworkers to also see for themselves that we are a loving, welcoming church family.
“Now, dear friends, I am requesting that we love each other. It’s not as though I’m writing a new command to you, but it’s one we have had from the beginning. This is love: that we live according to his commands. This is the command that you heard from the beginning: live in love.”
2 John 1:5-6
So let’s do it! See you Saturday!
Your pastor,
Billy Byler
THE NEXT INITIATIVE: What is this all about? We’re seeking the Lord’s will and direction for the future of our church with some big plans and goals. So it’s really important to attend each Sunday morning to participate in this important season. Read more about The NEXT Initiative at woodlandlakescc.com/next.
CONTACT INFO: We have recently sent important church announcements through letters in the mail and through emails. If you are not receiving these, please update your contact info with us so we know how best to communicate to you.
PRAYER: I’d like to know how I can best pray for you. We have a way to submit prayer requests online anytime day or night, which will help me join you in prayer.
JUST FOR FUN: Hey, you read Pastor Billy's midweek check-in all the way to the end! As a reward, check out these crazy stories I came across recently:
Cuteness alert! The National Parks Service has a live webcam of sled dog puppies in Alaska.
A truck in Britain that was dispatched to repair potholes couldn’t do the job because it got stuck in a pothole.
Dozens of colorful piggy banks keep mysteriously washing up on a Texas beach, and no one knows where they’re coming from.
