Good morning, church family!
This week, my 6-year-old daughter had her first day of first grade! But guess who had a little trouble adjusting to big sister heading back to school? Our 3-year-old! Here’s a photo to show you what I mean:
Are you the type of person who doesn’t like change? Change, even something as simple as a new schedule, can bring about uncertainty, doubt, instability and even fear. In fact, that’s the context for the scripture (Isaiah 6:1-8) we’ll be diving into this Sunday at our worship gathering. For those of you who don’t do change well, there’s hope!
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
-Hebrews 13:8
In a changing world, God is still on the throne, and we can still be forgiven, delivered from evil AND find our purpose and meaning through Him. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to see how we can deal with change even as the Kingdom of God breaks into this world. I’ve also invited the children back for another Kids Moment at the front of the sanctuary early in the service before they head back to enjoy children’s church.
This Sunday will also be the first time I have the privilege of leading us into a time of Communion! So, two requests from your pastor: bring your Bible and bring a friend with you this Sunday morning for a wonderful time of worshipping our Lord and Savior at Woodland Lakes Community Church.
See you Sunday!

REMINDERS
NAME BADGES: These are extremely helpful for someone new like me! Bill Price is making sure everyone who wants a name badge has one. So if you would like one, let Bill know or sign up at the welcome desk in the foyer.
CANCER SUPPORT GROUP: The next meeting for our cancer support group is at the church on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. If you or someone you know could use help navigating the difficult path of the brokenness that cancer often brings, this group is an excellent resource. Contact Dick Graham for more information.
WAYS TO GIVE: Our church operates from the faithfulness of God and generous donations of God’s people. Thank you to the many of you who regularly give through tithes and offerings to support the ministries of our church. In addition to our online giving options, we now have a new, secure donation box. You’ll find it just to the right of the back doors as you exit the sanctuary.
SWAG STORE: We’ve got t-shirts, polos and a few other items in our online swag store. This isn’t a money-maker for the church, but we’d love to see our church name and logo spread throughout the area! Grab some swag and show your love for your church by visiting thechurch.shop/shop/woodland-lakes-community-church
