Good afternoon, church family!

I just returned from the Kansas District Church of the Nazarene’s kids camp this week! We’ve had a wonderful three days at Wheat State Retreat Center just outside of Augusta, Kansas with a little more than 150 1st-6thgraders! Along with swimming, games, delicious food and awesome worship services, we took a closer look at how we can magnify God and proclaim His greatness in the world around us.
Here was our camp verse:
Proclaim with me the Lord’s greatness,
Let us praise His name together!
-Psalm 34:3
And if you haven’t yet listened to the song Your Way’s Better by Forrest Frank, check it out online. That song was ROCKING every day of camp!

We also heard from District Superintendent Kendall Franklin and District Missions President Kelly Love!
I’m so thankful for the many leaders all around the state who invest their time and effort into the next generation, including our own children’s director Tiffany Newell, who also attended camp. She was in a cabin with a bunch of 1st-3rd grade girls. I was in a cabin with 12 4th-6th boys! We had a blast!
Thanks for your prayers and support that made it possible for four kids from our church to attend. We hope to see even more next year!
Your pastor,
Billy Byler

LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY: The next Leadership Community is THIS SUNDAY EVENING (July 20th) at 6:30 p.m. This event is primarily for all church members so we can communicate some inside info about the church and help you develop your own personal skills as a leader. I’ll be sharing my annual report in this meeting, AND we’ll have ice cream as well! Please sign up in the foyer if you can bring ice cream or toppings. I’ll share more details about this event this Sunday morning.
CRAFT CONNECTION: The next Craft Connection meeting will be Monday, July 21, 6-8 p.m. at the church. Come enjoy a crafting community and some root beer/orange soda floats as a treat!
JUST FOR FUN
Hey, you read Pastor Billy's midweek check-in all the way to the end! As a reward, check out these crazy stories I came across recently:
· Back in 1948, Idaho had a surplus of World War II-era parachutes and a growing problem with beavers. So one man decided to relocate nuisance beavers by parachuting them into remote forests. It worked!
· A man in France has officially set a world record for riding a motorcycle the farthest… while on fire.
· Police in Ohio say a deer is walking around town with a bird feeder stuck on its antlers.
