Pastor Kendall Franklin
Pastor Kendall began as Lead Pastor at WLCC on March 15, 2020. His passion is to encourage and help folks to simply LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE. He is amazed that he has been entrusted to share the Good News continually.
Kendall is married to Denise, his life and ministry partner, who is a Doula (a labor and delivery coach) and a Paraprofessional. Together, they have three grown sons, three tremendous daughters-in-law, and five amazing grandchildren. He really enjoys being “Pampah” (pronounced Pam-Paw) to his two granddaughters and three grandsons. Both Kendall and Denise love the grandparenting gig! They live in Wichita with their overly social dog, Baxter.
Kendall enjoys being with family, traveling (especially to any place with mountains or beaches), reading or watching a great story, watching all kinds of sports, and hunting for his golf ball(s). And, even though he resides in Chiefs Kingdom, he is an avid, unashamed, and somewhat tormented Denver Broncos fan.
Kendall has been a Lead Pastor for over 30 years, serving in Arizona, Illinois, and Kansas.
Pastor Nate Boone
Pastor Nate and his wife Jessica are a team with a passion for not only leading God’s people through worship but connecting on a personal level and “doing life” together.
Both Nate and Jessica are graduates of Friends University where they first met (and by God’s grace Jessica agreed to date Nate). Jessica grew up in Wichita and works for Friends University as the Director of Alumni Relations. Nate grew up as a pastor’s kid in the Wesleyan Church and has been involved in music his entire life.

Pastor Amer Khokhar
Youth Pastor
Amer Khokhar has been the Youth Pastor of Woodland Lakes Community Church since January of 2011. Amer grew up in Dodge City, KS where he attended the Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1992 and from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1998. He was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2001. Prior to coming to WLCC, Amer served as a youth pastor in Dodge City KS, Topeka KS, Vancouver British Columbia, Florissant MO, and San Jose CA.
Pastor Amer was called to preach as a Junior in High School and loves to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with teens. In addition to his work at the church, he loves sports (especially football), and he is a huge Chicago Bears fan. Pastor Amer has a beautiful wife, Sunita, and five awesome children: Simrun, Sania, Asher, Abrahn, and Aryan.
